To find circumference starting with the radius then diameter you have to know these math equations
c=2(pi)r d=2r if the radius is 4 cm what is the circumference?
i will show what i know
r=4 so you times raduis by 2 and it will look like this (4)r X 2=8 the answer is the diameter so now you should know this pi is 3.14 when you are finding the radius you need to multiply it by pi so it will look like
(you need a calculator) 8 X 3.14= 25.1 the real answer is 25.12 but i used the up to tenths
To find circumference starting with the diameter you need to know just one math equation
c=(pi)d
for this you also need a calculator if the diameter is 12 what is the circumference?
To find this you just divide the diameter by pi<======= so it looks like this 12 \ 3.14=3.8
Again I use only the tenths place value
To find area using diameter
to find the area of the circle you basically multiply the diameter by 3 so if the diameter is 8 thern you multiply it by 3 it equals 24
and thats all I know

Answer To JB's Question
The probability of the spinner landing on purple is
1/5 or 1:5 or 20%
1/5 or 1:5 or 20%
Sunday, January 23, 2011

as you see there are 5 colored pieces.
There is 1 normal sized red
1 large sized orange
1 normal sized yellow
and 1 small sized green
1 large sized orange
1 normal sized yellow
and 1 small sized green
1 large sized blue
if you put this on a SPINNER
what is the probability of getting green ?
sorry for posting this late. I couldn't think of any!

Drawing Angle Bisectors
Drawing Angle Bisectors : Angle bisectors cuts an angle in half.
Method 1: Use a compass.
1.Sharp point on the vertex.

THANKS FOR LOOKING. PLEASE COMMENT.
Method 1: Use a compass.
1.Sharp point on the vertex.
2.Make an arc that intersects both rays of the angle, lable those instructions
3.From two new intersections make two more arcs.
4.With a ruler draw a line from the arc intersect onto the vertex.
5.That line is your angle bisector.
Here is a video on method 1.
Method 2: use a protractor
1.Measure the angle with a protractor.
2.divide the angle measurement by 2.
2.divide the angle measurement by 2.
3.mark the halfway point using the protractor.
4.use a ruler to connect the halfway point to the vertex.
5. That is your (BEAUTIFUL) angle bisector.
And some pictures.

Order of Operation

BEDMAS stands for :
B-Brackets
E-Exponents
D-Division
M-Multiplication
A-Addition
S-Subtraction
Here is a video and picture on BEDMAS
Question:Annie has been ask to calculate 1.7+6/2 she claims the answer is 3.83 do you agree ? why or why not ?
Answer: I don't agree because dvision is always first before addition or subtraction.
