Notes and Equations

Variable - a unknown Number

1.) a + 6 = 10
2.) b - 8 = 5
3.) 7 = 3 + d
4.) 5g = 15
5.) 5 = s - 5
6.) 35 = 7k

Integers
Negative number represent values below zero and positive numbers represent values above zero
eg. above and below ground or sea level
1 + (-2) = (-1) is an addition statement
3 - (-4) = is a subtraction statement
