1)draw a line segment 2)sharp end of a compass on point A 3)make an ARC slightly larger than half of the length of the line segment. 4)Repeat the process from point B with the same size ARC5)with a ruler to join the two ARC intersection with a straight line 6) now you have a perpendicular bisector. HERE IS A DIAGRAM (1st way)
2nd way
1)draw a line segment 2)measure with a ruler 3)divide the measurement by two which is the half way point. 4)use a right triangle to create a perpendicular line at the half way point.
diagram (2nd way)3rd way
1)lined segment AB 2)fold paper so point A falls right on top of point B 3)increase is a perpendicular bisector

Question 1:AJ has been asked to calculate (7+3)+8-4 He says that the answer is 14 He is right. Because he followed BEDMAS Remember Bracket's first (7+3)=10 Then after you do subtraction 8-4=4 Now you add 10 and 4 together 10+4=14
Brackets Exponents Division Multiplication Addition Subtraction by doing bed masthrough your head a few times you can do an ordinary order operation question easily.
example: (4+6)+7-5= you would do the brackets first 4+6=10 so you would go 10+7-5 next you would do addition because its next on BED MAS if you want to skip a step(but go at your own pace)you would do 10+7-5=12 and there you have the steps to do a perfect order of operation question.

Question 1 :
Annie has been asked to calculate 1.7 + 6 divided by 2 . She claims the answer is 3.85 . Do you agree ? Explain why or why not .
Answer :
I don't agree because she didn't follow the BEDMAS rules. If she did 6 divided by 2 first, she would of got 3 and her answer would have turned out to be 4.7.
Question 2 : Put brackets in the following expression to get the largest value possible . What probelm solving strategy did you use ?
Answer:

Question 1 :
Annie has been asked to calculate 1.7 + 6 divided by 2 . She claims the answer is 3.85 . Do you agree ? Explain why or why not .
Answer :
I don't think so , because If the answer was 3.85 she would've used "B.E.D.M.A.S." The real answer is 4.7 because :6 divided by 2 = 3 , + 1.7 = 4.7 .
( You go by level 2 , then level 3 )
Question 2 :
Put brackets in the following expression to get the largest value possible . What probelm solving strategy did you use ?
First , I did division since it is part of Level 2 , then I did multiplication because that's second after division on Level 2 . Finally , I used addition which was part of Level 3 .
Question 3 :
Create a problem that could be solved using the following expression .
2.5 + 1.25 + 5 x 1.6 = 8
