bedmas

Brackets
Exponents
Division
Multiplication

Addition
Subtraction
by doing bed mas through your head a few times you can do an ordinary order operation question easily.

example:
(4+6)+7-5=
you would do the brackets first
4+6=10
so you would go
10+7-5
next you would do addition because its next on BED MAS
if you want to skip a step(but go at your own pace)you would do
10+7-5=12
and there you have the steps to do a perfect order of operation question.

B- Brackets ( )

E-Exponents

D-Division

M-Multiplication x

A- Adding

S- Subtraction

Question 1

Annie has been asked to calculate 1.7 + 6 divided by 2 , she claims the answer is 3.85 .
Do you agree ?
Answer
No i don't agree because she didn't follow the bedmas stages .

Question 2

Question 3
Create a problem that could be solved using the following expressions ;

S- subtraction

  1. Annie has been ask to calculate 1.7+6/2 she claims the answer is 3.83 do you agree ? why or why not ?

2. I don't agree because she didn't follow BEDMAS because division come before adding so she should on got 4.7

Put brackets in the following expression to get the largest value possible what problem solving strategy did you use 3x2.8+6.4\4

  1. (3x2.8)+6.4\4=10 .

create a problem that could be solved using the following expression 2.5 +1.25+5 x1.6
