So Annie has been asked to calculate 1.7+6 divided by 2. She claims the answer is 3.85. Do you agree why or why not.

Did u think of it?

If you did the question the answer is incorret because if she did the B.E.D.M.A.S her answer well be 4.7 not 3.85

I got that answer because you have to do 6 divided by 2 = 3 then 3 +1.7=4.7

Hope you like it !!!!!!

Estimation

Today in class Mr.isfled gave us question. The title was Dividing Desimals using Estimation

The question was Pens cost 40 cents You have $6.00 Estimate how many you can buy? So I know that you can fit two 40 cents in a dollar so I did that for every dollar but there is $1.20 still. $ 1.20 has three 40 cents. If you add all of those 40 cent it equal up to $ 6.00. So you can buy 15 Pens all together.
