Math Notes

Divisibility Rules:

divisibility- When a number can be divided by another number with no remainder or decimal.

divisibility rules-

2- all even numbers. (numbers that end in 0,2,4,6,8)
3-the sum of all the digits must equal a multiple of 3.
example: 93 , 9+3= 12 , 1+2= 3.
4- if the number is divisible by 2 twice. OR If the last two digits are divisible by 2 then the whole number is divisible by 4.
example: 124 , 24 is divisible by 4 so the whole number is divisible by 4 OR we can divide 124 by 2 twice and still have the whole number.

5- all numbers that end in 5 or 0.

6- any number that is divisible by 2 & 3.
8- divisible by 2 twice OR the last 3 digits are divisible by 8.

9- the sum of all the digits must equal to 9.
example: 18 , 1+8=9 225 , 2+2+5=9
10- all numbers that en
d in 0.

7- no rule, use a calculator.
0-nothing.

1- every number.
