Exam Review Part 4

Fraction- Out of any whole number

Decimal- Out of 1

Percent- Out of 100

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Practice:
  1. Find 50% of 10 =
  2. Find 77% of 17 =
  3. Find 20% of 30 =
  4. Find 40% of 25 =
  5. Find 65% of 90 =
Still can't do it? Remember, when finding the percent of something, you turn it into a decimal then multiply the decimal by the number you wanted to find a fraction of. For example:
Number 2 states: Find 77% of 17
You then: 0.77 x 17 = 13.09 <------------ 77% turns into a decimal.
GOOD LUCK ON THE EXAMS EVERYONE!! :)
Convert Fractions, Decimals and Percents
2/4 = 50% or 0.5
75%= 3/4 or 0.75
0.6= 60% or 3/5
Solve algebraic equations
a+6=7 b-5=3 2=s-6
a+6-6=7-6 b-5+5=3+5 2+6=6-6+6
a=1 b=8 7=6
7=5+d 3g/3=18/3 12/4=4k/4
7-5=5-5+d g=6 3=k
4=d
Exam Review Part 3
Radius - distance from the center of a circle to the edge, represented by the variable "r".
Diameter - The distance from across a circle through it's center. Represented by "d".
Relationship between radius and diameter? The radius is half of the diameter and the diameter is twice the radius.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Constructing Circles:
  1. compass
  2. trace a circle
  3. string

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Practice:
  • Diameter if radius is 6 : 12
  • Radius if diameter is 9: 4.5
Now try these:
-What is the radius id diameter equals 10?
-If you multiply your diameter from the first question and divide by 2, what would the radius make?
-What if the radius was 3 and you doubled, what would be the diameter?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Pi
- the ratio of the circumference of a circle to it's d
iameter.
- approximate value is 3.14
- pi = c/d

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Formulas:
d = 2r 2r = d r = d/2 d/2 = r
(pi) d = c c/(pi) = d c = (pi) d
2 (pi) r = c c/(pi) = 2r c = 2(pi) r
