Subtracting Fractions with Like Denominators

When subtracting fractions its like adding fractions but insted you subtract the numerator NOT the denominator.

Here is an example we did in class...




And you see that the denominator did not change.

Here is an example of subtracting decimals but using pictures....

That is how to subtract decimals and remember don't ever change the denominator when adding or subtracting decimals.
